Privacy Policy
Applies to the How High Am I? app for iPhone, published by Tucker Innovation Group LLC. Last updated: .
How High Am I? is an elevation app. This policy describes what the app does with information, in plain terms, based on how the app actually works.
Location
The app uses your location to:
- determine your elevation above sea level, and
- identify a general, friendly place name (such as a city and state) to associate with a saved high.
Location access is requested as “While Using the App.” The app does not request Always/background location authorization.
Precise coordinates are not stored in your High History. A saved high records the elevation, the date and time, an approximate place name when one is available, and the accuracy reported at the time — not your latitude and longitude.
To be clear: the app does access precise location while it is running, because that is how elevation is determined. It simply does not retain those coordinates in your saved history.
Motion and barometric altitude
Where the device supports it, the app uses motion and barometric altitude data to make elevation changes more responsive and stable. This information is processed on the device.
Data stored on your device
The following are stored locally on your iPhone:
- High History records
- Personal High information
- Achievement unlocks
- Settings and preferences (such as feet or meters, and Auto Save Highs)
No account is required to use the app, and there is no cloud sync in this version. Deleting the app removes this locally stored data from your device.
Advertising
The free version of the app displays banner advertising supplied by Google AdMob. To serve and measure advertising, Google may process information in accordance with its own policies and terms. This policy does not describe or control Google's processing.
The app itself does not intentionally provide precise Core Location coordinates, elevation values, High History, Personal High, or achievement data to the advertising layer. Ad requests are made without app-specific targeting parameters.
For details of how Google handles data when providing advertising services, see Google's advertising privacy information.
Advertising privacy choices
Where applicable, the app uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to present advertising privacy and consent choices. When those choices are required for your region, an “Ad Privacy Choices” option appears in the app's Settings screen.
The app does not present Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt and does not request permission to track you across apps and websites.
Remove Ads
Remove Ads is a one-time in-app purchase processed by Apple. While a verified Remove Ads entitlement is active on your Apple Account, the app does not request AdMob banner ads.
Purchases are handled by Apple. The app does not receive or store your payment details.
Sharing
Share Your High cards are generated entirely on your device. Nothing is posted automatically. An image is shared only when you choose a destination in the standard iOS share sheet, and that destination's own privacy terms then apply.
Analytics
The app does not include its own analytics SDK and does not send usage data to Tucker Innovation Group LLC. Note that Google's advertising SDKs perform their own measurement as part of delivering ads, as described above.
Children
How High Am I? is a general-audience elevation app and is not directed to children. It does not ask for a name, email address, or account.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as the app changes. When it is, the “Last updated” date above will change. Continued use of the app after an update indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
